Year Four FAQs

Q. At what time does school begin?
A. School begins at 8:45am for all pupils.

Q. At what time do the playground gates open?
A. The playground gates open at 8:30am.

Q. At what time does school finish?
A. School finishes at 3pm for Foundation stage, 3:05pm for Key Stage One and at 3:15pm for Key Stage Two.

Q. When do the children need their PE kits?
A. The children should have their PE kits at school every day. However, 4TF have PE sessions on Tuesdays and Fridays and 4CU has PE on Wednesdays and swimming on Tuesdays.

Q. Are the children allowed nuts in their lunch boxes?
A. The children are not allowed nuts, or anything containing nuts, in school at all due to allergies.

Q. Is there an After School Club facility?
A. Yes, it is located in School Close. Please ask at school for contact details.

Q. Are the children allowed flavoured water?
A. Please provide your child with a bottle of plain water with a sports cap for them to keep on their desk. You may provide another drink for lunchtime as long as it is not fizzy.

Q. What do I do if my child needs medicine during the school day?
A. You have two options: either you can pop into school and give your child the medicine or you can fill out a form giving us permission to administer the medicine. The medicine must be named.
