School Uniform
Within our school we have now adopted a non-gender-specific policy for school uniform, This means that you are free to choose the uniform that allows your child to feel valued, supports their identity within school and right to choose.
Most items (shirts, trousers, skirts etc) can be bought at local department stores but polo shirts, sweatshirts, cardigans and bags which feature the school logo can be purchased at PMG Schoolwear (https://pmgschoolwear.co.uk/school/thedownleyschool)
Sample sizes are available in the school office for your child to try on if you are unsure of the size you require.
Wearing a uniform supports the children in having a feeling of belonging. Our uniform has been selected so that children are free to play and be included in all activities without the fear of ruining expensive items. We ask that the children wear their uniform with pride and will be asked to tuck shirts in. Stud earrings can be worn.
