Homeguide - Autumn 2

Dear Parents/Guardians,

The children have all settled well into school life and we have a very busy and exciting half term ahead of us in the run up to Christmas.

During this half term we will be starting work on our Christmas performance – what a treat we have in store for you all! The children will be learning the songs in school, but some children will have speaking parts to learn too which we will send out for them to practise with you at home. We may also request that you provide parts of your child’s costume if possible. We will send out information about this nearer the time.

Just a few reminders.... As the weather gets colder, please ensure your child comes to school appropriately clothed as we still like to use our outdoor provision as much as possible. Wellington boots and waterproofs will still be required for wetter days. Please could you also ensure all hats, gloves and scarves are named as we often end up with a few unclaimed ones at the end of the day.

Please remember that reading books are sent home on Tuesday to be returned on Thursday and on Friday to be returned on Monday. Please ensure that your child’s book is returned on the correct day. Please ensure that you have signed in the appropriate box to let us know that your child has read the book at home. Books will not be changed until they have been signed.

If you would like to help during one of our morning or afternoon sessions please speak to your child’s class teacher. We would be very pleased to have your help.

And finally, some dates:

Thursday 14th December 9.30 am – Christmas Performance to parents

Friday 15th December (am) – Hot Chocolate party in the dell (all food/drink provided by school)

Tuesday 19th December – Reception Christmas Party (School finishes at 12.30pm)

Yours sincerely

Mrs J. Thomas         Mrs C. Boston

Miss S. Hussain       Mrs E. Brinkworth
