Speech and Language Support

The Buckinghamshire Children and Young People’s Speech and Language Therapy Service works with children and young people from 0 – 19 years. Children with a variety of communication difficulties can be seen, where appropriate, in their own homes, community clinics, children’s centres, Early Years settings, mainstream schools, (including those with Additionally Resourced Provision), special schools, and FE colleges across Buckinghamshire.Speech and Language Therapists work with children with a range of communication difficulties including:

  • attention, listening
  • understanding
  • expressive language
  • speech production, stammering
  • social interaction skills
  • eating and swallowing difficulties
