Walk to School Day

An ENORMOUS crocodile was recently seen in Downley!

On Friday 25th October, hundreds of Downley School pupils, their families and many members of staff ‘walked to school’. They met at The Downley Donkey wearing high visibility clothes and were led to school in a crocodile by a crocodile!

The Safer Routes group had planned this day with a focus on children walking to school and thinking about safety at all times. Helping the environment by walking to school is also important.

To make the day even more special, families were invited to join in ‘Wake and Shake’ and then pupils who had walked to school wore bright mufti for the day.
