- Children who are five between 1st January and 31st August inclusive have the option to start full time from September, or to continue part time (08.45 a.m.-12 noon) if preferred until January.
On completion of their foundation year, the children progress through Key Stage 1 and then through Key Stage 2 when they leave us and move on to the secondary phase of their education.
In the event of the number of applications for places at the school exceeding the number of places available, the criteria laid down by Buckinghamshire County Council will be followed in the allocation of places. Full details of the admissions procedures are available both in the Bucks County Council booklet "Admission to Buckinghamshire Primary Schools - Guide for Parents" and on the council website. http://www.buckscc.gov.uk/education/schools/admissions-and-moving-school/admission-to-primary-schools/

The Downley School is an inclusive school and accepts all children regardless of their ability. Where necessary, the curriculum is differentiated to make it fully accessible to all pupils. The SENDCO, Ms Tyrrell, will speak to parents/carers about specific needs prior to starting school. Those children that require an EHCP will also be supported and monitored by the SENDCO and their Phase Leader. We are equipped with a disabled toilet and changing facilities and, whilst the school is on two floors, there is access to the upper floor via a lift for those with physical impairment. All parts of the School are fully accessible to wheelchair users.
To register an interest in the School, or to book an appointment to view the School, please contact Mrs Ovens in the School Office via email at email@example.com or telephone 01494 527033.
September 2021 - 2022 Pupil Intake
In light of the national situation with Covid-19, we have had to change our approach with regards to our admissions process and how we will obtain consent and other important information from you. If your child is due to start school in September 2021 and you have any questions regarding their admission to school please email the school office.
In line with the current government guidance we are unable to offer pupil's a tour of the school at this time. Once the road map has been reviewed on the 17th May 2021 we will able to provide a further update. Please keep checking the school website.
We have added a virtual tour of the EYFS classroom and outside leaning area. Please click on the links below.
