The Downley School community is part of a much wider local community with whom we aim to build strong links wherever possible.
Within the school, there are two very special groups of people who are talented, dedicated and committed to working in their own time for the good of the school and to give our children the very best education possible. They are the Governing Body and The Parents Association.
We work closely with our next door neighbours Chiltern Wood School and our friends 'down the road' at The Disraeli School.
Sunshine Montessori Nursery and The Downley Afterschool Club live on our site as well.
Young children from our local pre-schools are invited to the school for some productions and performances, as are our local senior citizens.
We liaise with and welcome representatives from local churches, the police force, community police officers and members of Downely Parish Council.
We visit and welcome visitors from local mosques, temples, gurdwaras and synagogues.
Recently we have worked with The Chiltern Society as they help us to develop our pond and outdoor nature area.
We are also very proactive in raising money for charities - recently Rosie's Rainbow Fund, Macmillan Cancer Support and Wycombe Homeless Connections.
