The Downley School

“Learning, Growing and Succeeding Together”

Special days

We are very lucky to have many special days at The Downley School.

Our first special day of Year 4 was our Children in Need Day 2012.

To take part in this special day we were allowed to come to school in Mufti, but with the theme of spots, stripes and rainbows. This was because the Children in Need theme was spots and stripes. We were also thinking about Rosie's Rainbow Fund so we could wear rainbows if we wanted to. We took part in a variety of themed lessons and we thought carefully about why were were wearing the clothes and the difference that we were making.

To make this day even more special - it was Dads in School day! Our dads and grandads were invited to spend some time with us during the day and some had lunch with us. We hope that all of our visitors had a great day!
