The Downley School

“Learning, Growing and Succeeding Together”

School Uniform

Within our school we have now adopted a non gender-specific policy for school uniform, This means that you are free to choose the uniform that allows your child to feel valued, supports their identity within school and right to choose.

All children at The Downley School wear their school uniform with pride.

Most items (shirts, trousers, skirts etc) can be bought at local department stores but  polo shirts, sweatshirts and cardigans which feature the school logo can be purchased Leonard Hudson Teamwear

PE bags are available from the school office.  Payment should be made via Parentpay.  All orders will be completed on a Monday/Wednesday/Friday and sent home with your child.

Sample sizes are available in the school office for your child to try on if you are unsure of the size you require.

We are currently reviewing our school uniform and will keep you updated on the outcome of the consultation.

We have a winter and summer uniform. Wearing a uniform supports the children in having a feeling of belonging, and the school so that the children are free to play and be included in all activities without the fear of ruining expensive items. We ask that the children wear their uniform with pride and will be asked to tuck shirts in, not wear large hair accessories, not to wear trainers in school and no jewellery. Children will be asked to remove earrings and tape will not be used to cover them for PE as per the Bucks PE guidance.
